The art of the table, a family tradition passed down through countless generations, finds expression on this expansive terrace in Milano, in perfect harmony and symbiosis with nature.
The planters and furnishings were custom-designed by the company La Tavola, a leader in creating highly sophisticated products for the buffet universe. Plant-filled corridors surround the elegant square-shaped penthouse, almost transparent, expertly crafted atop a historic building using innovative materials and technologies.
A long succession of planters lines all four sides, hosting countless shrubs, small trees, and perennial herbs, creating a precious and sheltered green haven—intimate, welcoming, and beautiful in every season, including winter, viewed through the large glass panels that define the space. At the corners of the quadrilateral, large cylindrical containers house specimens of Mediterranean plants, a passion of the homeowner; next to each, small, elegant, and space-saving tables and chairs invite a pleasant pause amidst the lush, lively greenery. The Milano skyline emerges as a protagonist from various points on the terrace, capturing the gaze and giving a sense of expansiveness.
On the lower level, a green pocket forms the focal point around which several rooms develop, serving as an irresistible centerpiece. Despite its modest size, the juxtaposition of containers of varying heights filled with plants expands the perception of space. The carefully curated botanical selection has created a miniature home woodland, thanks to a few contorted willows planted together: the rich network of flexible branches welcomes numerous small birds in transit, delighting with their presence, while the wind passing through the fine foliage stirs a gentle movement that captivates and enchants the eye.
