Placed on the top floor of a contemporary building, a large terrace welcomes a lively family, eager to be able to continuously and joyfully experience that open space, a natural extension of the house.
The terrace is developed in a horseshoe shape around the glazed veranda, located on the upper floor of the house; the intention was to create a versatile area, usable as long as possible throughout the year, capable of offering various moments of recreation and interest for the children, a lush and intimate oasis.
To meet the various needs, the landscape designer created a succession of large, multi-purpose spaces, placing vegetation almost exclusively along the perimeter and resorting to lightweight furniture that is easy to move around as needed. To create shaded areas, two pergolas were inserted: one shelters the dining table, placed alongside the outdoor kitchen, the other a seating area.
The many species and varieties of plants were chosen to provide year-round interest through successional blooms, small fruits, and alternating persistent and deciduous leaves.
